These are some use cases that I've either done, or am prepping to complete:

  • Linear Regression- Looking at the impact of various sales activities upon sales.  If the sales team is emailing the client, how many more sales does that result in?  Would it matter more if the sales team picked up the phone and called?
  • Time Series- Creating a forecast of volume for an individual location.  Understanding the volume in some businesses allows you to build out the budget.  For the health care world, just knowing how many people are likely to walk thru the door can give you a ball park for budget.
  • Logit/Probit Modeling- For a non-profit, we would like to know which of the regular donors may turn into a large donor.  Who is more likely to write the non-profit into their will?  What activities could be done to increase that likelihood?

I would love to see the Optimization tools in more use.  I've never used them, but would like to.

Thank you, @Charity_K_Wilson!  Wow, these are excellent use case examples!  It really gets you thinking about how the Predictive Tools can be utilized.  I also really like the non-profit donor example; this could be very helpful with Alteryx For Good projects!

For me, I would like to see these tools in the demo presentation:

H and I, Linear and Logistic Regressions

C.  Decision Tree

D.  Forest Model

N O P, Using the Stepwise, Score and Test of Means tools

I would also like to see one or more of the use cases @Charity_K_Wilson listed, especially the non-profit donor example.  Thanks!
