Hi, Dallas / Fort Worth Alteryx User Group Members!  You are invited to our first Virtual User Group Meeting this Friday, March 27th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  With the recent developments regarding COVID-19, we have moved our user group meetings to an online Virtual setting.  I know many of us in the Dallas / Fort Worth area are now WFH (working from home), so we wanted to continue to provide you with our acclaimed Alteryx User Group meetings, and continue the monthly cadence.  I believe this will help keep all of us Alteryxians connected, as well as enable us to share meaningful discussions on how to use analytics for scientific research, economics, healthcare and much more.

Our guest presenter for this meeting is Keith Penney, Senior Data Analyst, Supply Chain Transformation at Raytheon, and formerly Corporate Marketing Analyst Advisor at the FedEx Corporation.  He will be showcasing a deep dive into the numerous Alteryx Training Resources available from Alteryx and other sources.  If you are working from home, and find you have time while your workload adjusts, Alteryx training is an excellent way to strengthen and edify your knowledge and skills!

Keith will also present a workflow he created that matches recent disease hotspot data with vendor locations, using the Spatial tools in Alteryx.  Keith has been a longtime member of this group and Alteryx user, with over 30 years of experience in database marketing, and we are excited to have him present!

Deanna Sanchez, Alteryx ACE and Practice Manager at PK Global, will present on utilizing the DriveTime and Distance capabilities in Alteryx.  The workflow will show how to assist nonprofit organizations with coordinating their volunteers geographically, enabling deliveries and services to clients from distribution locations, while focusing volunteer efforts on small geographies.  This process helps to prevent staff overlap of multiple areas, and allows volunteers to assist in a shorter time frame (creating opportunities for more volunteers, and making it easy to donate a small amount of time).

Meeting Agenda:

2:00 to 2:15 p.m.  Welcome, Announcements and Introductions

2:15 to 3:05 p.m.  Keith Penney, Senior Data Analyst, Raytheon / Tekwissen

  •   “Shortening the Alteryx Learning Curve”

A survey of available on-line resources to make your start-up and continued journey with Alteryx less bumpy than the pioneers.

  • “COVID-19 Location Analytics”

Sourcing and ingesting public data: catching and leveraging moving targets.

3:05 to 3:15 p.m.  Intermission and Virtual Networking

3:15 to 3:50 p.m.  Deanna Sanchez, Practice Manager, PK Global
