Hi, DFW Alteryx User Group Members!  Just a reminder to save the date for the upcoming virtual March meeting, which will be Friday, March 28th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.!  We are excited to feature Jessica Salazar, Digital Process Innovation Senior Analyst at Toyota, presenting an "Overview of an Alteryx Solution that Enhanced Operational Process Efficiency with Multiple Users".  We greatly appreciate Jessica joining as our guest speaker, and she has provided the following outline of the presentation:

"This presentation provides an overview of an innovative Alteryx Analytics App developed to enhance and streamline a monthly operational process performed by multiple analysts at Toyota. The solution includes the use of Python to alert users to errors, save files to multiple team folders, and notify users upon completion, ensuring ease of data readiness and improved efficiency."

Following Jessica's presentation, I will showcase a "How To" session on configuring the Report Map tool.  If you have ever wondered how to set up this tool and create maps in Alteryx that convey data and insights effectively, this session is for you!  I will also provide details on how to generate a thematic map by color-coding customers based on specific criteria.

Please Register at the top right of our Events page at DFW Alteryx User Group March 2025 Meeting! - Alteryx Community ; a Zoom meeting link will be sent to registrants.

In addition, the meeting will be virtual for this month; we hope to confirm a location for an in-person event for our April meeting.  If your company may be interested in hosting our user group meeting for April, please feel free to contact me at deanna.sanchez@novageographica.com .  We would love to feature your company on all promotions regarding the meeting and we would also be glad to showcase a presentation by one or more of your team members who use Alteryx!

Thank you to each of our members for making our Texas-sized user group phenomenal!  We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!

Hi, everyone!  Thank you all who were able to join our March virtual meeting, where Jessica Salazar, Digital Process Innovation Senior Analyst at Toyota, presented an "Overview of an Alteryx Solution that Enhanced Operational Process Efficiency with Multiple Users".  Jessica showcased some highly innovative techniques for updating data within her extensive workflows, as well as advanced methods for utilizing the "modify SQL query" option in the Dynamic Input tool.  She also featured ways to use the Formula tool to generate an error, which prompts a corresponding Python tool - and how to use the Run Command tool to move files, along with much, much more!  Plus, her expert use of Tool Containers kept her workflows clean and legible.

Thank you to Jessica for your excellent presentation!  We welcome you back to our user group meeting anytime, and look forward to future presentations on advanced techniques such as the ones you showed for the March meeting!

Following Jessica's presentation, I provided an exploration of the Report Map tool, along with many tips and tricks for efficient configuration.  To learn more about the Report Map tool, please visit the online Alteryx Academy at Mapping Data - Alteryx Community , or feel free to reach out to me at @Deanna here on the Community; I am very glad to help answer any questions!

Thank you again for attending the March meeting; our user group is created "by users, for users", and we are grateful to each of you for your support and membership!
