As I look at the NRF 2014 schedule, I am not surprised to see "Big Data Analytics", "Customer Experience" "Omnichannel", and "Mobility" amongst the key themes. After all, the retail industry is in a transformational phase. Web, mobile and social media have tipped the power balance in the customers' favor and the fight for customer attention is on! The Retailers only hope for winning this war is to ensure a differentiated customer experience, across all touch-points, all channels. And their only weapon "big data analytics".
