Alteryx and Microsoft Power BIToday Alteryx announced collaboration with Microsoft to accelerate data blending and advanced analytics consumption for business analysts. While this announcement discusses the overall collaboration between the two companies, the highlight is the integration between Alteryx and Microsoft Power BI. Alteryx will empower these business analysts to develop the most complete analytic dataset using a drag and drop environment to blend data from multiple sources and incorporate predictive and spatial analytics. Alteryx will then be able to output directly into Microsoft Power BI for visualization, reporting and building dashboards.
To take advantage of this integration, users who have Alteryx (either a license or trial) and a Microsoft Power BI account can download the Alteryx Visual Analytics Kit for Microsoft and gain access to six sample Alteryx workflows and the Microsoft Power BI tool. In addition, there will be several different demonstration videos that help you get started to understand the Alteryx workflow and how to build out visualizations in Power BI.
Finally, to learn more about this announcement you can join Alteryx and Microsoft for a live webinar on November 3, 2015. Register here to see the integration in action. I look forward to seeing you all there.
