BOOM! That is the sound of the minds being blown by all of the great Tech Track content from the first day of Inspire. It was a full first day of technology goodness, everything from leveraging cloud data sources, tips and tricks, scaling to handle petabytes of data, and predictive analytics were covered. Here are the highlights of each of the sessions that took place today:
How to Process and Visualize Cloud Data
Cloud-based tools give organizations flexibility in managing and analyzing various types of data. And by the looks of the room, there were a lot of folks looking to leverage the newly developed Alteryx cloud connectors. Poornima Farrar, one of our rock star product managers, showed how Alteryx supports cloud sources, and then demo'd how analysts could use these new sources to map the customer journey.
Alteryx Tips and Tricks I & II
There was a double dose of tips and tricks today, Tips and Tricks I and Tips and Tricks II were both sardine-packed-full of analysts; don’t panic, we have a second set of Tips and Tricks taking place on Thursday. Both sessions delivered multiple ‘lightbulb’ moments across the audience’s faces when Margarita Wilshire, Henriette Haigh, and Andrew Lloyd shared some of their most valuable gems.
In-Database Blending & Analytics For Scale
This session was offered last year and due to the overwhelming demand and positive feedback, we decided to offer an updated version of the session at this year’s Inspire. Once again it was popular. Alex Patten covered the when, why and how to use In-DB, the benefits of In-DB, and shared lots of new tips and tricks when leveraging the In-DB functionality.
A Deep Dive into the Predictive District on the Alteryx Public Gallery
Predictive analytics has a district, and Dan Putler, our very own in-house Chief Data Scientist, presented what this new district is about, and what cool new predictive tools are waiting to be discovered. And, for those who were lucky enough to get into this session, Dan also gave a sneak peek at features that we will soon be releasing.
Alteryx Inspire is the conference of the year for analysts, and Inspire 2016 has only set the bar higher. For those of you unable to attend this event, there is always next year!
