Customers can expect some exciting new features in our 24.2 release that aim to enhance Server product quality. The Community has been actively engaged and has become a rich resource of ideas for improving our Server product. Here at Alteryx, we have been listening and have been hard at work to provide a smoother user experience and a more overall reliable product.

Here are 6 ways we are delivering product quality in our latest release:

  1. With ideas such as this, we have included a Read/Un-read Toggle to improve the visibility and management of Server notifications. Now users can easily differentiate between new and old notifications, improving our customers’ overall user experience.

  1. We have also introduced bulk operations, starting with bulk delete. Instead of using APIs or deleting one workflow/schedule/collection at a time via the user interface, users can multi-select their desired assets and delete them in one click. You asked, and we’ve delivered!

  1. When an admin changes the configuration of Server, they can now navigate System Settings easier with more resizing options. This is especially valuable when using Virtual Machines to host the Server with various screen resolution and sizing settings.

  1. With our commitment to improving our search and sort capabilities on the Server user interface, this time we are focusing on the Engine. With the introduction of AMP, we are making it easier for admins to understand the impact this might have on Server resources by selecting whether to sort based on AMP or E1 Engine.

  1. We now show a list of recent workflows when adding workflows to collections via the dropdown option. With this new feature, customers won’t need to think about the name of workflows and instead will be prompted with various options based on recency added, creating a smoother experience.

  1. To ensure product reliability, we are committed to using supported versions of Mongo. With 24.2 customers will be utilizing Mongo V7 when opting for the embedded Mongo DB as their persistence layer of choice. This ensures we continue to use reliable and stable software in our product. We have also made additional changes to our database migrator, eliminating the need for customers to pit-stop when doing a big upgrade spanning multiple versions.

In addition, as part of 24.2, we have extended our automated tests that run daily to cover our public API endpoints from embedded Mongo to now also cover user-managed SQL databases. These consist of over 2000 tests running daily, all of which prove stable and pass consistently.

We are so excited and cannot wait for our customers to try these out!

Please keep engaging with us via the Community portal as we look to further solidify our commitment to product quality on Server.
