The Five Finalists for Monday’s Alteryx Grand Prix at Inspire 2015

Last week I told you about the incredible interest in competing in this year's Alteryx Grand Prix at Inspire 2015. 35 people across 26 companies competed in a series of qualifying rounds, and we had the difficult job of narrowing the list to five competitors who will take the main stage next week in Boston. Here are the five finalists, listed in order of how they finished the qualifying rounds (starting with the top qualifier):

	Jarrod Thuener Data Artisan, Kristalytics Austin, TX Why are you competing in this year's Alteryx Grand Prix? "Fibonacci sequence suggests that given my past performance, I'm on track to win it this year." Favorite Tool: Summarize tool Fun Fact: Jarrod participated in the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Alteryx Grand Prix events. He finished third in 2013 and second in 2014 – is this his year to win it all?
	Craig Bloodworth CTO, The Information Lab London, U.K. Why are you competing in this year's Alteryx Grand Prix? "Chris Love taught me everything I know, and the cup looks good with UK ale in it." Favourite Tool: Download tool Fun Fact: All of the other drivers have been using Alteryx for more than five years, but Craig has less than two years of experience. Retired champion Chris Love has passed the torch of representing The Information Lab to Craig, and thinks he'll do well.
	John Hollingsworth GIS Manager, Clear Channel Outdoor Chapel Hill, NC Why are you competing in this year's Alteryx Grand Prix? "I'm interested in competing because I've yet to win. I use Alteryx every day and want to prove my skills against the best." Favorite Tool: Download tool Fun Fact: John participated in the last two Alteryx Grand Prix events, and finished in third place last year.
	Dan Magnus Senior Associate, Data & Analytics, KPMG LLP Denver, CO Why are you competing in this year's Alteryx Grand Prix? "I love Alteryx! I also love a good challenge, so it seemed natural for me to enter the Grand Prix." Favorite Tool: Multi Row Formula tool Fun Fact: Dan is a former Alteryx employee who's watched from the pit for several years. Now that he's joined KPMG he gets his chance to prove he's one of the elite Alteryx users.
	Jeremy Kane Dir., Data Engineering and Production, TargetSmart Communications Washington, MD Why are you competing in this year's Alteryx Grand Prix? "It has been several years since I participated and I'm coming out of retirement to see if I still 'have it'." Favorite Tool: Calgary Cross Count Append tool Fun Fact: Jeremy participated in the 2009, 2010, and 2011 Alteryx Grand Prix events – taking home the trophy in 2010.

Even though the qualifying scores will be wiped clean when the Grand Prix finale happens on Monday, the smack talk has already begun:

That's no surprise because at stake is round-trip travel and accommodations for two to Las Vegas where the Alteryx Grand Prix winner will be able to continue their quest for speed during ten laps in a Ferrari F430 or a Lamborghini LP550 around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Here's what Chris Love, the winner of the past two Alteryx Grand Prix competitions, had to say about his experience.
