Seizing the Power of Analytics – Day Two Technology Sessions
The first day of the Technology Track sessions brought a variety of use cases from different industries. All delivering a consistency on how Alteryx is changing the way they do business. The day two sessions revolved around Big Data, and how to utilize Alteryx and our partners to make the most of this data.
Some of the highlights of these sessions:
- Damian Austin- Alteryx discussed how users can “Cross the Chasm” by incorporating sophisticated analytics through combining Alteryx with Hadoop using the Hortonworks Sandbox with social media sites like Yelp and Experian. Damian showed how by integrating all of these data points, users can help a Restaurant chain increase its Yelp ratings for low scoring stores while gaining new customers.
- Bruce Johnson- Teradata and Jim Schattin- Alteryx continued the theme of delivering upon Big Data by combining Alteryx with Teradata’s Unified Data Architecture. Utilizing the Teradata UDA and the Alteryx platform to prevent customer churn, analysts can identify at-risk customers or improve customer insight by identifying customers most likely to shop at a competitor, which will drive better marketing campaigns.
These sessions really highlight not only what is going on in the marketplace today with organizations trying to make the most of their mountain of data, but it also highlights a lot of the strengths of Alteryx and our partnerships. By combining Alteryx and Teradata or utilizing Hortonworks, it can really improve a company’s analytical processes, resulting in better, faster decisions.
