Migrating Workflows: Maintaining Workflow Credential Settings

Hi Community!

We recently turned on the setting to Allow User to Select for our Alteryx Gallery.

We tested this against our migration tool (we created using Alteryx's APIs) and it is not inheriting the settings of the original published workflow.

So, for example, a user published a workflow to UAT with the setting User must specify their own credentials. When we move that workflow to our Production Gallery using the Alteryx APIs, we want to ensure that is still the setting for the workflow. Instead, we are seeing it being set back to User is not required to specify credentials.

Have others experienced this behavior? Is there something we are missing that needs to happen when we migrate to ensure we keep the user's settings?

This comes from us having a best practice of not allowing people to publish to Production unless using our Migration tool that is more audited and governed so not being able to use the migration tool would be a large impact for us.

Hi @elsastark, when you uploaded the workflow to gallery did you set the "workflowcredentialtype" field in the API? Also, what version of Server are you on?
