Long running wf status capture

Hi,

We have a requirement where we would like to notify user(s) about wf running longer than a specified threshold of time.

I know we can capture success or failure from system metadata but is there a way to identify "Running" status of a workflow?

We can see if the wf is at a running state or not from the gallery, so I am hoping alteryx must be maintain this information somewhere in the system and I don’t know how to tap into it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
