On Flexnet under View/Edit users there is an option to set a user as active or inactive. The help does not explain what that does, any thoughts?
Cheers,
Bob
P.S. - I also see there are checkboxes for End User and Trial User - any info how the trial user checkbox affects the user?

Hi @Robert_Blackey,
The Flexnet license purpose is to help manage your organizations licenses of Alteryx. By setting a user as inactive, you are removing that license key from that particular user. For example, let's say one of your employees leaves the company, well, you can transfer that particular license key to a new user, mark them as active, and mark the former employee is inactive.

Hi @Robert_Blackey & @PeterP
I'm from the Fulfillment team and wanted to jump in to clarify some things. Making a user inactive does not revoke the license key from that users device, it only removes the end user from accessing the license portal. To actually revoke a user from a license key you can follow the steps below:
1. Login to licenses.alteryx.com
2. Go to Machines > Administer Machines
3. Change the search filter on the right side to License Key
4. Paste the license key and hit Search
Continue below to revoke the license key.
5. Select the email
6. Select Action > Revoke Licenses
7. Enter the Quantity to remove
8. Save
Thanks,
Brandon
