Hi Everyone
My data for eg has 1file for class Guitar
| Name | Class |
| John | Guitar |
| Mike | Guitar |
| Sam | Guitar |
Another file for
| Name | Class |
| John | Soccer |
| Mike | Soccer |
| Mary | Soccer |
I have multiple files that could have duplicates.
I need my output to look like
| Name | Class |
| John | Guitar,Soccer |
| Mike | Guitar,Soccer |
| Sam | Guitar |
| Mary | Soccer |
Solved! Go to Solution.
Union the data together, then use a Summarize tool with Group By Name and Concatenate Class!
Piggy-backing on @alexnajm's response to help show this visually:
I brought in the data, and then created an intentional duplicate. I added two paths: (1) that uses the Unique Tool to get down to distinct values before concatenating, and (2) another method that uses two Summarize tools to handle the duplicates and then concatenate. Both paths lead to the same results!
Hope this helps, credit to @alexnajm .
