first connection to datasource

Hi,

I just installed the 'Altryx' program and trying to connect it to a datasource IBM DB2 oleDB.

 reciving an error massage:

"sql server does not exist or access denied.\08001=17 "

 

Ideas? 

also can i connect an ip address to the altryx?

Alteryx does support IBM DB2 via OLEDB connection: https://help.alteryx.com/current/designer/ibm-db2 

 

SQL server does not exist makes me think that maybe the address isn't entered correctly? The OLEDB connection window isn't specific to Alteryx so if you test the connection after entering the details and it doesn't work it is most likely not entered correctly. Alternatively you could use an ODBC connection.
