Visual Query Builder DISABLE automatic joining

When i add tables to the visual query builder it auto populates the joins between them.. is there a way to disable this? I Only need a few select joins not every possible one..

Do you mean when you're using the Visual Query builder with relation to a database connection (either with the Input Data tool or the In Database tools?  If the joins are automatic, that usually means there are pre-defined relationships within the database architecture itself.  And it will be unlikely that your DBA will want to change that.  In other words, if your database is set up to have those relationships predefined, the Visual Query builder is just doing it's job.
