Using download tool on GLEIF API

HI guys,

Could anyone try to use the GLEIF api via the download tool?
Trying to use it I'm getting an error "couldn't resolve host name".
it might be due to some internal company network rules, thus I thought I will ask anyone to try it as well.

I would much appreciate any idea.

hi @Piotr_M

Mine seems to work fine for the api call:

I would suspect this to be an issue with network rules on your company policy.

Hope this helps,
TheOC

Thanks for a quick reply.
That's exactly what I expected.
Seems like this is a start of a long journey with the internal IT department to resolve this.

hey @Piotr_M
I know of that journey, and i wish you luck 😁

If you need it ASAP, you could look at using a proxy. However I would recommend also vetting this through your IT before proceeding.

Hi @Piotr_M,

Just a potential quick fix -

If you go into Options -> User Settings -> Edit User Settings

Under the Advanced tab you can enable proxy settings - in the past I've had trouble with external connections and this was the issue.

Hope that's a simple solution, but it may well be a long journey through your IT team.

Regards,

Ben

Hi @Ben_H.

Thanks for the idea.
I've tried autoconfigure without any success.
Need to get in contact with IT.

Regards,

Piotr
