To dynamically split bulk data into different tables by month on the same sheet

I have one year of data related to premiums, and I want to split this data by months and calculate the subtotals for each month. For example, January may have 5 rows, while February may have 10 rows. How can I dynamically split this data into tables as shown in the example?

Get the month name from your dates and then filter the data based on month name.

How can I dynamically create tables within the same sheet and calculate the subtotals for each table?

I think you're after a solution here using the Reporting Tool palette within Alteryx.

I can see you have your output all displayed on one page, with spacing in between each group, and you've also got total lines on the bottom of each group. From a solution perspective, you'd have to create each of these "mini" tables (in a batched way, so it's dynamic) and get the total rows for each group. You'd need to add a line break on the bottom of each table, and then stack them all together.

The solutions I've provided achieve that. I've broken it into two levels. The top box is showing you the foundation/technique to achieve multiple tables on one page. The bottom box is showing you how to get total rows underneath each group by leveraging a batch macro.

Macros are a powerful piece of kit in Alteryx. I'd highly recommend learning them 😎
