Text File Upload to Server

Hello,

When I try to upload a text file to the server I am receiving an error. Doing some searching it seems that this is just not possible and needs to be either csv or xlsx. Is this correct or is there a way around the error?

You can import the file as a CSV with no delimiters. See the attached article.

How are you trying to upload the file to the server?

Could you share your app settings please? 

I think it will be that you have the interface tool for the file browse set to "Standard Database File Formats"

As a text file doesn't have a standard you'll need to choose the "Arbitrary File Specification"

@garretwalters12 You can upload text files on the server. You have to change the file browse tool to Arbitrary file specification before uploading onto the server. Just tested it and it works in 2019.3.
