Looks like you need to select the part that you want to dynamically change like this tool shows. This assumes that you are replacing the whole in statement. This means that you should be building many options for your users to select an IN statement with two or multiple values.
Also; make sure you select the Preview button on your dynamic input tool to make sure the query is working properly.
If you only have single value codes on a list, you may have to build a chained app to process the possible multiple-value-code selected and concatenate it with the summary tool to create the IN statement.
