Technology used to authenticate Alteryx Designer (license and user security)

Hi team Alteryx,

I've been investigating what technology Alteryx uses for the authentification of the license, for example, I've read that for the server one option is windows authentication,  but what does it apply to Designer?

Have you read up on License Server? While I imagine some of this is under the hood - and copyrighted - License Server delivers licenses using flexnet/flexera. There is a user's manual. It's extensive.
