Tableau Output tool creating a duplicate file instead of overwriting data source

Hi, thanks in advance for your help!

We use Designer to update hyper files on our Tableau cloud site. With the recent requirement to use multi-factor authentication, are now using the “Tableau Output” tool. With a token/key, I am able find the project and click the hyper file in the Tableau Output tool. In the Options menu, I select “Overwrite”.

This all runs without error, but instead of overwriting the file, it creates an exact replica on our Tableau site, so the original data source that the dashboard uses doesn’t actually get updated.

Has anyone else had experience with this?

Some additional context:

Designer: 2022.3.1.450

Tableau Output: v1.3.0 

AMP Engine is enabled

DCS enabled

Tableau creator license, with publish permission with ability to overwrite the data source and dashboard tied to it

One of my users is experiencing this.  Were yo able to resolve?

So we found that the datasource name had a leading space that you couldn't see on the web UI.  I used the Update Datasource method to fix the name and then we were able to overwrite it
