Student: Sorting data by several variables

Hello. I'm a student whose Auditing professor gave them a data case from EY as a project, without the teacher teaching us how to use Alteryx. I need my data to do three things in a single section (which I'm assuming means they want one workflow). I'm stuck with these as my goals:

1) Total spend for each month, sorted highest to lowest. Month should be reflected in the format of  short month and year (e.g., Jun 2018).

2) Total spend for each department (in alpha order) by month (in order of month within the fiscal  year). Month should be reflected in the format of short month and year (e.g., Jun 201). Any nulls  should be reflected as zero (0).
3) The top 20 departments with the highest spending, sorted highest to lowest.

I'm not sure how to do all that. Here's what I have.

Hey @hennessey20 ,

Would you be able to share your dataset also?

Best,

Here's the data set. It's an Excel file.

HEy @hennessey20 ,

Here it is. I would suggest you looking into the academy for your next projects, there you will see a lot of examples related exactly to this specific project.

Best of luck.
