Query builder very slow to connect to SAP HANA

I'm trying to start using Alteryx to connect to some SAP HANA views, and I'm finding that when I connect via the input tool (standard or in-DB), the query builder and SQL editor are VERY slow to populate - often more than a minute to load. I thought this was a HANA problem, but when I connect to the same DB via Power BI, the connection is much smoother. Does anyone have any experience with this?
