Pivot Table Format Change Assistance

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how I might be able to translate this Alteryx output into the Excel output attached? In my workflow, I used the select tool with summarize to get these results. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Looks like a CrossTab tool is needed!

@alexnajm Hi Alex, thank you so much for the swift response. I never used the tool. Do you have any references I can follow?

I would reference the One Tool Example in Designer for the Cross Tab tool - click on the tool in the tool bar and click "Open Example". Otherwise if you provide the data, we can help build a workflow

@alexnajm Thanks Alex! I really want to try it on my own first.

No problem @KevinQVo - I love the example Alteryx gives for this tool so that's why I highly recommend starting there!

Hi,

@alexnajm I just tried independently, and have had no luck translating the data. I experimented with the cross tab tool and still no luck. Thank you if you can offer any insights!

@KevinQVo for future reference, if you need further help please provide the data so we don't have to create it from scratch! For example, you don't have counts in your screenshot nor a value that matches "0-7 days", "8-15 days", "Unallocated", etc.

The Cross Tab tool is absolutely the way to go so you can get your "Actual Age" values up into a header row, grouping on your "Dashboard Grouping"

Hi @alexnajm

My apologies for making it difficult. Unfortunately, the data is a little hard to provide since its sensitive information from my place of employment. I've attached a couple screen shots of what I can, and maybe you can guide me from there.

Image 7 - That data I want the pivot to be derived from

Image 8 - How the structure of the pivot table should be

image 9 - My workflow

Image 10 - The select tool and what I have selected

I hope this helps, and please let me know if I can offer anything else!

Thank you so much for your help!
