Pie Chart Formatting Numbers

Is there a way to format the numbers in an interactive pie chart to show as currency? So, in the below screen shot 598 would show as $598.00 and 5,044.67 would show as $5,044.67?

@ktberger_2020 can you try this. It appears to be working on mine:

Create a new field with the formatting you want:

Select the Label option with the new field:

All the best,

I was able to make this work using your advice @BS_THE_ANALYST but I wish the chart tool had the capabilities like the table tool so that I could just add a prefix.
