Multiplying on a condition

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a formula which will follow an IF statement to produce the output on the table below.

Where:

A = -1

B = 1 

IF [A/B] = "A" THEN [Amount] * -1

Could anyone help me with this? Ideally it would add a new column called 'Output'

Amount	A/B	Output
100	A	-100
100	B	100
XYZ	A	-XYZ
