More row after using join tool

Dear community,

 

i have one question which i dun really know the reason on it.

 

 

In my original file , there is only 117825, but after i use join tool, it increase 751670. as per screenshot below.

May i know why it increase? It should decrease since we use the inner join function in this case.

@SH_94,

 

Please check the key used in the join and make it's unique in one of the input.

You can use Unique tool or Summarize tool

@SH_94 @messi007  suggested there might be duplicate records in your input file. you can search for the unique tool in the search option

Hey @SH_94, you can find the Unique tool under the Preparation category:

And the Summarize under the Transform category:

You can place one of them before the Join tool. Here is an example withe the Unique attached to the database that has duplicates on the key field:
