Modifying Data Types dynamically

Cela

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if it's possible to refer to data types of specific columns in formulas.

Reason being that I have two input files that are built identical but the data type varies at selected columns (e.g. "ZIP Code" is in Input A a Double and in Input B a V_String) and I would like to match the data types based on either of the two.

Is this possible at all and if so how would that work?

@Cela have you checked out the Multi-Field Formula? It's got a bunch of cool stuff in the configuration:

You can refer to a field's Datatype there.

All the best,

Hey @Cela,

There is the "Field Info" Tool that allows you to extract Metadata.

Here you can extract the Datatype.
