Microsoft Access Database Connection to Alteryx

I see a lot of articles on this topic but it is still not clear to me. Currently, I have saved queries in Access that I connect to my excel files. The excel files are the starting point of my workflows currently. Is there anyway to simple connect my Access database to Alteryx and select a query as the starting point of my work flow? If so, is there also an option to refresh these queries before my workflow begins?
