Malformed If Then using && with OR in several of the &&

I've been scrounging through lots of examples, but don't seem to find one that combines a bunch of and this,this this where one of the 'this' has multiple potential answers.  I think my written version has a clear enough conversation voice.  Any help with syntax is great.

I 'think' I solved my own problem?   BUT since I couldn't find other examples, I'll leave this here for someone else and maybe it'll help them?
