Making a Date Value to NULL in Expression

I have a date field in my data which i want to replace values, given a certain contition, to NULL.

Trying this IFF funciton, but it gives me "Invalid Type in operator =="

 

DATE_FIELD =

IIF(Left([FieldA],1)=!"B", [Start_Date], Null() )

Perhaps you want != instead of =!
