When I attempt to run a simple linear regression, I get the error:
"Tool 170: The input '#1' was not initialized."
How do I fix this and what am I doing wrong?
I checked the variable types, and they are both Double.
Happy to help! Can you try redownloading and reinstalling the Alteryx tools? Like you indicated already, make sure the version and admin/non-admin match!
Reason why I assumed it was a Windows VM on Mac is because I get the same error when I test run using the tools example workflow. I'm running Alteryx within a Windows VM with Parallels on an M1 MacBook, which requires an ARM based Windows install.
Lenovo does offer ARM based CPU's, but if you're confident that your machine is using a 64-bit CPU (Intel or AMD) then it could simply be a bad install of the Predictive tools, in which you should follow @alexnajm recommendation.
Has any one been able to resolve the issue? I have a similar situation in which various versions of the alteryx and predictive tools have been attempted without any resolution. Even the Example will not run. So it seems to be something specific within some Macs. Any update is much appreciated.
ARM based CPU's are still not supported as per the latest release, unfortunately, which for Mac's would be those with either the M1/2/3 chip.
Where you able to resolve your issue with running the Predictive tools on the Parallels? I am currently having that same issue (running 2022.3 version) and am looking through the boards for a resolution.
Spaterson,
I believe that the previous response is the most likely reason unless you are using a different chip. Sorry I cannot be of any additional help.
