Hi everyone,

I have a file in excel that has multiple columns, however, I want to join the data within two particular columns, to make one. I have attached an example. Any help would be much appreciated!

I suggest using a Formula tool to achieve this. The output field will be "New Column Output", set the type to a string (with a size of at least 7 characters for this example), and use the following expression:

tostring([SW Manufacturer])+";"+tostring([SW Name])

The "tostring(" function that converts the field values to strings may not be necessary if the fields used are already string types, but it's a safe way to go.

Hi! What if you have several columns that you want to join together? Is there an easier mechanism to use other than formula?

I.e. A1, Right_A1...A2, Right_A2 etc... up to a large number.
