I am having an issue with the the summarize function whereby when I use the sum function to total the values in a column, I am getting a 0 value, even though the numbers do not total 0. I can't see why this is happening, however the only explanation I can think of is that the data has some negative values in it. Would this affect the sum function? I have used it before and this didn't seem to impact it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

can you capture some incoming data and first check against it and then just post the data for a specific date that should not equal 0? Then we can look at the process.
Cheers,
Mark
Hi @Maurio ,
Mark was just asking if you could provide some of the data so we can check it. Currently, we can't see any of the figures so we have no way of knowing what the problem might be.

HI @Maurio ,
unfortunately we can't see screenshots. If you want to post a picture, save it and upload it using the "Photos" button above.
It would be easier for us if you could post an example of the data (remove anything sensitive) and we can have a look that way.
Thanks,
M.
Here is the data file attached, I hope this helps!
Perfect.
Okay, this was a funny one. There's nothing wrong with your data, and the answer of zero is correct. This is due to the fact that there are positive and negative numbers that net to zero.
Try filtering out the numbers that are negative and you will see the sum of the positive values.
Just to illustrate:
