Input Data tool - SQL query

Hi,

I am trying to utilize the sql query function of the input data tool. When I go to double click inside the box to write my query nothing happens. Is this a bug?

Just out of curiosity, what Driver are you using, and to what database are you connecting?

I'm loading in excel files *.xlsx

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by driver.

I see, with the SQL query I had made an assumption you were pulling data from a database. That said, what version of Alteryx are you using? I'm curious because I'm on 2018.4 and it doesn't support SQL query in XLSX

Hi,

I did some more looking in to it and Alteryx doesn't support SQL via the input tool for Excel as of 2018. Fortunately, this is a topic that has already been discussed here and you can see the workaround highlighted in this post.
