Input Data Control: Log of actual workload generated

Hi all,

Given the previous post (https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Data-Sources/Input-Data-Tool-Can-we-control-use-of-Cursors/td-p/587...) around understanding the ACTUAL workload being executed when we run a query - it would be very helpful to understand the full set of transactions that are executed against a SQL server.

This would allow us to pump these through the SQL Database Engine Tuning Advisor (which takes a batch of SQL workload, and optimizes the DB for this workload through strategies such as indecies; partitioning; statistics; etc.

Is this available in a log file somewhere that we can unpick, or is there an option that can be turned on (similar to the "Enable Performance Profiling" box on the "Runtime" tab of the workflow configuration?

If this is not available anywhere (even with a registry hack; or some XML adjustments; or a log file generated somewhere deep in the file structure), I'll log an idea for this.

Many thanks

Sean
