Importing Multiple sheets at once with same schema

Hi All,

I am trying to import 2 sheets of identical schema into alteryx from an excel workbook. They have the same number of fields and data types but Alteryx is telling me they are not of the same schema.

Is their a way to figure out why these two worksheets will not combine even though it appears they both have the same schema to me?

Hi,

I would use the field info tool to compare the data types of both files. 

The easiest way to test it would be inputting both files via Alteryx use the field info tool and join tool:

Just replace the input files with the files that you want to use and you should find an answer what is the difference between those two files.

Also, Excel may be forcing a data type on a field based on the data within. You might try configuring the formatting on the fields, specifically fields that should be set to character, but Excel translates as a number (e.g. zip code).
