Hi Guys,
I am figuring out how to duplicate rows in Alteryx for different product group, would you please help to shred some lights? Thanks in advance.
So here's the original table (what I have), product name is the sub product name. Each sub product have different lines of data.
Product Name | Data |
X-1 | 1 |
X-2 | 2 |
X-2 | 3 |
X-3 | 5 |
X-3 | 6 |
X-3 | 8 |
Y-1 | 2 |
Y-1 | 6 |
Y-1 | 7 |
Y-2 | 3 |
Y-2 | 2 |
I would like to duplicate the rows into this table, all the product and sub product will see the same info.
Product Name - Revised | Data |
X | 1 |
X | 2 |
X | 3 |
X | 5 |
X | 6 |

Hi @WCH ,
See attached workflow and let me know if this is what you are looking for. I had to do some multi-row formulas for the Y records because the append fields was causing some extras duplicates ("dup"), so needed to remove those.
Hopefully this helps!
you guys are so brilliant !!!
I pick your solution as it is very similar to mine. I was keep digging how to use the Generate Rows APP, and finally it turns out this could all be solved without it! Excellent!!!!
