How to Alternate Joining Multiple Columns.

I have 2 tables each with 300+ fields. I need to combine the table alternating a column from each table.Any ideas on how to do it without manually reordering in a select?

This is a little clunky but it's what I've got so far. It might give you an error if your data types change between string/numeric.
