Hello,
can someone help me please?
How to make the fuzzy match tool match 2 elements of text data fields that are actually the same "C.I.S.A. S.p.A." in table 1 and "C.I.S.A. S.p.A." and in table 2?
I think the problem is the points? But how to solve it?
I have a very large table so I can not replace all the points. Is there a solution within the settings of fuzzy match.
Thanks in advance
Best regards.

Hey @mturki,
This is very odd, it seems like this is a bug. Matching should also work with the dots.
However, you can use a workaround. Select "Match Style" "Custom" and then "Preprocess Strip Punctuation". This will ignore all dots and the output will be correct.
I prefer to always use the Custom Match Style as the other one often seem to run into some problems.
Hi,
thank you so much for your support. I edited the setting like in the screenshot provided. It worked with those elements.
I have other 6 elements in my main data set where the fuzzy match failed. See the container with the name "problem (part2)" in the workflow.
Is it possible to adapt the setting to solve this bug as well. Can you please help?
Thanks in advance.
Can someone please help me with a solution for the bug? It is important to make a decision about Fuzzy Match with the tool this week
