Formula Configuration Window

Hi all. I am new to Alteryx however it is fairly popular amongst my work team. I have downloaded Alteryx Designer and have a license. I am able to open the app and use 99% percent of its functions except for the Formula node (Idk if they are called nodes or what). When I insert the formula function in my workflow the configuration window is just blank. I can see the configuration window and where it should be but there is no option to insert anything. I have reset all of my settings and went as far as uninstalling the app and then downloading different versions. Is this a problem that anyone else has faced and if so what did you do to correct this? All other nodes work properly aside from the formula node. Thanks in advance.

If you could provide a screenshot of what you're seeing, that might be helpful in order to troubleshoot your issue.

I wanted to make a follow up here to your Formula Configuration Window situation in where you are finding blank please read my next comments:

 

1.- Please try to have selected a field when you are adding a new formula

2.- Please ensure to have selected the node when you are adding a new formula

3.- Finally I am attaching a screenshot of a workflow I did yesterday

@konradknerr ,

 

Formula Tool (yes, we call the icons "Tools") has a sample workflow.

You should be able to open the sample workflow when you click the icon on the "Tool Palette".

If you can see it, please click the "Open Example" link to see what happens.

If you cannot see it, you should call for IT support as there may be something wrong with the installation.

Yes unfortunately it doesnt work on the sample workflow either - do you know the IT support number? I can't find it anywhere
