Hi Everyone!

How do you filter a dataset to reflect only the first piece of data by date for a ID / person?

I have mocked up the below data as an example. In reality the dataset is 10k+ lines.

NameDate
Mark01/01/2020
Mark01/02/2020
Joy01/01/2020
Frank04/04/2020
Joy01/02/2020
Frank09/09/2020

Thanks,

Mark

Hi @MJep,

You'll want to sort and sample your data to take the first row for each Name (use the group by function on the Sample tool)

If this solves your issue please mark the answer as correct, if not let me know! I've attach my workflow for you to download if needed.

Regards,

Jonathan

Hi @MJep,

I think you can just sort the data and use sample function.

Please find attached example. If that is not the desired output plus provide us with example of it.
