Find and replace

I am asking a question that I asked before in a previous question (above)

When I try to do what I did before, it will not work.

Basically, what I asked before is that I want join the material code in sample 1 to match with the material code in sample 2. I want the ratio next to the material number to appear next to the material number in the file with all the other data in a new column. When i do it the new column is just blank, I must be messing something up but I am not sure what?

If someone could advise on how to do it that would be much appreciated.

Hi @BillyL14 

Make sure that the material code fields are String data type before bringing them into the Find & Replace tool. Then, ensure you're ticking off the append fields option in Find 
& Replace, and choose to show Ratio
