File Browse Excel | Not working

Hi all,

I want to create an App starting with the File Browse Tool for reading in Excel files. However when clicking 'run as analytics app' there is no Browse Option at all.

It still works for other interface tools - i also deinstalled and upgraded to 2020.02 and it still did not change anything. 

Do you have any idea what might cause this? I could not find any solution on the forum...

Hey @maier_alexander_MO 

Have you ticked the "on success - show results to user" button in the interface designer?

On server you should use a Render tool to display the output in pcxml format. The Browse tool won't work on Server.

thank you for your hint on that - but sadly the screenshot i attached is from the Desktop Version and it does not show any functionality there.

the tick mark is there and everything works fine for all other interface tools. In the preview it Interface Designer it looks good as well. Just not when tryint to run as Analytical App...

Could you try the version enclosed? It is 2020.2 and working for me.

Ff you open Alteryx then open the app, then run it using the Run as Analytic App icon  does it do that?

Hi @wwatson thank you so much again for your help! The Alteryx Support could actually give a great tip which I would have never thought of.

In Windows 'Display Settings' there was somehow a scaling factor way larger than 100% which caused the issue that no interfaces were shown. I no switched to standard scaling factor and everything works as intended.

@maier_alexander_MO could you post a screenshot or instructions for the Windows display settings scaling factor here? 

That could be useful if someone else encounters the same issue.
