Hi Everyone! Looking for some help regarding the Alteryx expression editor. I'm very new to the platform and I'm trying to utilize the Multi-Field Formula node. I'm hoping to write an expression but the editor does not seem to appear the way I see in other examples online (see below). I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but it appears to be blank instead of displaying the typical "variables, functions and shared expressions" fields. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or knows of a possible solution.
Thanks in advance!
What version are you on? Have you closed out of Alteryx and restarted it? This is not normal behavior to be clear so if it persists, you may need to reinstall Alteryx
Hey there! Thanks for your rely.
I'm on version 2025.1.1.27. Would this be considered an older version?
Or, do you suggest I reinstall?
@Erik_H
We are on the same version and it works fine on my side.
Before reinstalling it, maybe you can check if it works for the sampel data first?
Hi there! Thanks for your suggestion. I tried opening the example and I can't seem to open that either. I've reinstalled and I'm encountering the same issue. Do you have any other suggestions?
I'm not sure if this is of any help but I noticed if I use one of the "dynamic node" (i.e. dynamic rename, replace, etc.) the expression editor does in fact work.
Any thoughts would be really appreciated :)
Update, It seems to be working now! I'm not sure why or how but I won't question it. Thank you all for your input/help :)
Though it is abit unsettled for the unknown reason, but glad to know it is working now.
Thank you for letting us know.
