I am getting a error: 

"inputfile.xls": Too many fields in record #2

I am using a batch macro to upload and read all types of file like .xlsx,xls,txt,csv,etc .

I am getting the error at only .xls file.

Please suggest some solutions.

Hi,

I think this error most often occurs in TXT/CSV files. 

Can you check if you have the same issue without using macro?

I think it might not work because this isn't csv file.

Maybe it would be a good idea to actually convert it to CSV using excel. Thanks to that solution proposed by @AngelosPachis would work.
