Error Connecting to Hadoop using hive odbc

While connecting hive through Hive ODBC i am getting the below error.

FAILED!

[Hortonworks][Hardy] (34) Error from server: SASL(-1): generic failure: GSSAPI Error: Unspecified GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information (Server not found in Kerberos database).

Kerberos is active and also kerberos ticket is also active

how to resolve this issue.

Have you set up your Kerberos credential cache and config file (krb5.conf)?

Thanks Patric. I had to close and restart the MIT Kerberos and Credential cache and then setup the Kerberos credential cache.

Krb5.conf was already available.

Finally it worked.

wow. glad it resolved for you. i have the same issue and came across this and wonder how you did to get it resolved. i am not a IT person.
