Email Event

I'm trying to setup an event on a workflow that emails a distribution group of our organization when the workflow fails. However, the distribution group cannot receive emails from outside of the organization. For some reason, even when I use an email in the "From" option that is inside the organization (such as my own email address), it seems to consider it as having originated outside of the organization. Thus, the distribution group does not get the email (I have tested this with it sending the email to my own email and it works, but it says that the email originated outside of the organization). Is there a way around this?

I got it worked out, finally. We had to do a workaround and change the distribution group to enable it to receive emails from external addresses.
