Is there a simple way to dynamically compare two files? I am trying to build a macro that will take 2 excel files and compare them based on the data in each row. I will be using this for a validation that the two files are exact.

Hi @BrandonS4,
There have been some popular macros in order to achieve your result but currently, I am not able to find a link.
Alternatively, you can use join tool on each of the columns. If something will not join that will show you that there is a difference in those files.
If this was helpful please mark my post as a solution!

@Emil_Kos I need something I can use for any two files. Two files might both have 20 columns and another two files might both have 10 columns. I need a way to dynamically join both of those.

Hi,
If you will transpose first you will be able to use join dynamically.

Hi @BrandonS4,
Check this article. It might give you some suggestions.
Additionally I think you will find there a macro that will do what you need 🙂
