Display in Interface

I extract some data using drop down tool and now I want to show a value calculated using the extracted data in the interface & also in the same same workflow. I will be highly obliged if someone give me the solution & if the solution is already given kindly provide me the link.

I have 5 different year. First I select the year using the drop down tool and then calculate the "total sales". Now I want to show this "total sales" value in the interface. Means whenever I select any year then automatically want to show the "total sales" value in that interface. But unable to show the total sales value in the same interface.

Hi @udayan,

You'll want to navigate to your interface designer (Toolbar -> View -> Interface Designer)

Select the cog in the bar on the left hand side, ensure "On Success - SHow Results to User" is ticket and tick your browse or output tool you want to display the results from your workflow, then it'll appear as a window after successfully running your app.

I got your point but I want to show the "total sales" value in the same interface where the "Select the Year" is shown. I also add the interface where I want to show my value.

Sadly thats not possible. Alteryx doesn't have the capability to show selection and output in the same window 😅.

Hi @udayan,

Not entirely sure I agree with @atcodedog05 on this one, you can start to use the reporting tools in combination with the app to display the pieces of information together on one screen. However you can't simply change the dropdown and see the sales on the same interface (as you need to run the app to get the result).

Click OK:
